On December 21, 2015, CMS is hosting a “TeleTown Hall” on implementation of the Notice of Observation Treatment and Implication for Care Eligibility Act (NOTICE Act). The NOTICE Act, enacted in August 2015, requires hospitals and critical access hospitals to provide notification to Medicare beneficiaries receiving observation services as outpatients for more than 24 hours. The event will provide an opportunity for the public to share comments for CMS to consider as it prepares for implementation of the NOTICE Act, but CMS will not be responding to questions or comments at the forum. The call will take place from 2:00-3:30 pm Eastern Time; to participate dial: 1-800-837-1935 and reference Conference ID: 5106309 (CMS recommends dialing in 15 minutes early).
