On May 3, 2012, CMS is holding a provider call on its Prior Authorization for Power Mobility Devices (PMD) demonstration. Under this demonstration, CMS will implement a Prior Authorization process for scooters and power wheelchairs for Medicare beneficiaries in seven states (CA, IL, MI, NY, NC, FL and TX).
