On September 9, 2008, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health held a hearing entitled the “NIH Reform Act of 2006: Progress, Challenges and Next Steps.”  Also on September 9, the Senate Finance Committee held a hearing on health care quality, including quality improvement initiatives in the private sector.  On September 11, 2008, the Senate Special Committee on Aging is holding a hearing on Medicare information issues.  Also on September 11, the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee held a hearing on Medicare physician payment policy.
