Health Policy Bills Approved
The House and Senate have approved S. 3199, the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Act, and S. 3036, the National Alzheimer's Project Act, clearing the measures for the President. On December 1, 2010, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee approved, with amendments, H.R. 2941, to reauthorize and enhance Johanna's Law to increase public awareness and knowledge with respect to gynecologic cancers. The Senate version of the bill now must be reconciled with an earlier version of the measure approved by the House in September.
